However my magic mouse 2, which works perfectly under osx, will not pair with windows 10. Initially I thought it had paired and was just not working, but it seems the trackpad built into the macbook pro has been recognized as my mouse, and while windows 10 can see the magic mouse 2 when it's time to pair it, it just gives me a failed to pair message. I've been trying to find drivers to manually install the mouse, but bootcamp downloads the windows drivers automatically, puts them in a temporary partition on the hard drive while installing windows 10, then removes that partition after the install.
I can't find a download link to the windows drivers bootcamp downloads to use, thinking maybe there's one in that package that didn't install correctly, and I can't find any windows 10 drivers for the magic mouse 2 (which isn't surprising as I know it's fairly new and it's on microsoft to provide those) has anyone been able to get a magic mouse 2 to work in windows 10 after using bootcamp to install it? I really don't want to have to use a different mouse for each os. I have it working in Windows 10 Boot Camp on my MBP 13' w/retina display, but the scrolling on it doesn't work.
Here's what I did: 1) Boot into Mac OS X and run the Boot Camp Assistant in the Applications/Utilities folder. 2) Click the 'Download the windows support software' link either on the splash page or top menu bar. 3) Save the resulting software to a USB stick or drive 4) Reboot into Windows 10 5) Using 7Zip or WinRar, decompress The 'AppleWirelessMouse64.exe' file on the Win 10 desktop as AppleWirelessMouse64. 6) Run 'DPInst.exe' in the decompressed folder as Admin. If you still have problems, there may be something wrong with your Bluetooth drivers.
Check the following links for some ideas on how to fix that:. I'm having trouble with the current version of boot camp, it doesn't give me the option to download the windows support software. Tremor sound card drivers for mac free.
I tried calling apple support to see if they could give me a link where I could download it, but they wouldn't provide that. I'm not sure if the version of boot camp I have is different, and will check it again tonight, but when I click boot camp assistant to start it up, none of the other options are available to me. It seems that the current version of bootcamp makes a temporary partition on the hdd when installing windows and then deletes it as soon as you boot back up again.disclaimer - I'm very new to using a mac, so I'll double check boot camp assistant tonight and I definitely appreciate the help!
