The Witcher 2 is incredibly over-ambitious in its vision, but somehow manages to achieve perfection in its execution. CD Projekt RED’s modding toolset “REDKit” is to be released in the first half of 2013, the company. The kit, which gives access to the “thousands of assets from The Witcher 2″ will have both “complex and user-friendly” tools. Another big selling point will be the simulation of day and night cycles, and the price– free to all owners of The Witcher 2.
Although no mention of Mac capability was made specifically, the demonstrated user interface was clearly from a Mac version. The software’s in private beta right now, but looks set to be the beginning of some revolutionary mods. Update:: There’s also now a video, below.
